John Issard Davies (1902-1993) was born in Churchstoke, Wales on July 16, 1902.
John Issard Davies was Initiated and Passed in Temple Lodge in 1926. He was Raised in 1927. He served Temple Lodge, No.33 as Inner Guard (1934), Junior Deacon (1935), Senior Deacon (1936), Junior Warden (1937), Senior Warden (1938) and Worshipful Master in 1939.
He was also a member of Tzouhalem Chapter, No.26 and served as 3rd Principal in 1940; 2nd Principal in 1941 and 1st Principal in 1944.
John Issard Davies moved from Duncan to Victoria about 1940 and resided in Victoria, B.C. until his death in 1993. He demitted from Temple Lodge, No.33 in 1949.

“DAVIES: Mr. John Issard Davies passed away in Victoria on November 22,1993 at the age of 91 years. Born in Churchstoke, Wales on July 16, 1902. He was predeceased by his wife Edith in 1990. Survived by his nephew John of Duncan, B.C. and niece Louise of Abbotsford, B.C. and numerous other relatives.
Mr. Davies had been resident of Victoria for the past 52 years; a long time member of the Masonic Fraternity and a member of St. John’s Anglican Church.
Service of Remembrance will be held in St. John’s Anglican Church, 1611 Quadra Street, on Thursday, November 25, 1993 at 3:00 P.M. Reverend Susanne House officiating. Cremation entrusted to Hatley Memorial Gardens. SANDS of VICTORIA – A Tradition of Trust 388-5155”
